How to manage Subjects

How to manage Subjects

The Subjects module contains the master list of all academic subjects in the school's database. CAPS subjects are pre-loaded with the required regulatory codes. This module allows administrators to adjust the display order for reports and promotion schedules.

My School > System > Curriculum > Databases > Subjects

How do I filter subjects?

  1. Select the relevant Curriculum and Grade.

  2. Use the status filters to toggle between Active, Inactive or Deleted subjects.

  3. Right-click on any table heading to select or deselect columns (e.g. Code, Subject name, Order).

How do I edit subject details?

  1. Click on the subject row to open the editable data grid.

  2. Update the Ordering field to change the order of subjects on reports, or update the DOE Ordering field for the promotion schedule. Lower numbers appear first. If both fields are left as 0, the system uses alphabetical order.

  3. Click Accept changes.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I not add a new subject?

Every subject must be linked to a unique LURITS code for DBE compliance. Send requests for new subjects (including non-departmental subjects) to support@d6plus.co.za with the subject name, grade and LURITS number.
