Learners applying to enroll for the following year can be placed on Waitlist A or B. The school determines the way to use these lists. Most schools use Waitlist A for the learners that will probably be accepted and Waitlist B for the rest.
Add a learner to a Waitlist
My School > Learners > Learners
- Click the Register learner button at the top of the screen to open a new learner record.
- Enter the learner information. It is possible to enter only the compulsory information (fields indicated with a red *) and then complete it upon acceptance.
- The Registration date should be the date that the information is entered into the system. Or the date the application was received. This will ensure that a report can be printed in application order to allow a first-come-first-serve basis for applications.
- The Admission date will be a date in the future when the learner will be joining the school.
Waitlist Admissions
My school > Learners > Waitlist Admissions
The accepted and declined applications have to be indicated per grade during the Admin Year-end procedure so that accepted learners can be allocated to classes for the following year.
- The red column will indicate the number of learners in the grade that have to be accepted or declined.
- Click the blue eye icon next to the grade to be processed.
- On the next screen, all the learners are indicated as "Placed" (Admitted for the following year).
- Learners can change to "Not placed" (kept on the waitlist for the next year) or that they have "Withdrawn" their application.
- Click "Continue" to submit the selections and to continue with the next grade.
- The process is completed when no learner numbers are shown in the red column.
