Watermarks (background images) are used to link specific letterheads or backgrounds to printable reports and documents in d6.

How do I add a watermark?

  1. Click the Add Background button.

  2. Select the letter type, paper size and paper orientation from the drop-downs.

  3. Enter the name for the watermark in both Afrikaans and English.

  4. Upload a .jpg file (smaller than 1 MB) by clicking Choose File and selecting the applicable file.

  5. Click Save.

How do I edit a watermark?

  1. Click the circle button next to the specific watermark and then click Edit.

  2. Make the necessary changes and click Save.

How do I remove a watermark?

  1. Click the circle button next to the watermark and click Remove, or click the red dot with the white cross next to the background name.

  2. Confirm your choice.

Frequently asked questions

Which file formats are accepted for watermarks?

Only .jpg files are accepted. The file must be smaller than 1 MB to upload successfully.

Why must I enter the name in both Afrikaans and English?

The d6 system supports both Afrikaans and English as communication languages. The name is used to display the watermark in the relevant language in the system.

Can I set up multiple watermarks for different letterhead formats?

Yes. You can set up multiple watermarks for different letter types, paper sizes and orientations. Select the applicable watermark when generating a specific document.
