This article explains the staff roles and permission hierarchy in d6 Communicator, so schools understand who can action content and manage settings. It is for school administrators (Superusers) completing communication setup after implementation.

Administrator: Full access to all resources and events. Can manage users, roles, and categories, and add calendars or groups.
Moderator: Full access to resources and events. Can assign user rights to calendars and groups, but cannot assign user roles. Reviews and publishes an Author's drafts.
Editor: Can create, publish, edit, and disable their own content only.
Author: Can only create draft or concept content that requires a Moderator or Administrator to publish. Can post standard newsfeed messages without restriction.
