Formula Calculation Sheet

The Formula Calculation Sheet shows the complete calculation analysis of the promotion mark according to the Template Formula or Subject-Specific Formula setup in the system. Use this report to verify how marks are weighted and calculated before generating report cards.

How do I generate a Formula Calculation Sheet?

  1. Select the year.

  2. Select the formula type.

  3. Select the grade.

  4. Select For which learners: All Learners or Current Learners.

  5. Choose the relevant subject(s) and move them to the right-hand side.

  6. Choose the page orientation.

  7. Click Generate report. If some mark blocks are greyed out, it is an indication of missing marks.

Frequently asked questions

Why is no data showing for a grade?

If no data is available for a grade, Template Formulas have not been set up yet. Configure them at My School > System  >  Curriculum > Year-end Formulas:   Template Formulas and/or Subject-Specific Formulas.

What type of formula should DOE schools use?

Schools that must submit data to the Department of Education should set up Subject-Specific Formulas to comply with DOE requirements. This means marks must be entered in d6+ at least at the Orange level (Task level) throughout the year.

What do greyed-out mark blocks mean?

Greyed-out blocks indicate that marks have not been captured for that assessment. Investigate the relevant subject and task in the mark capturing screens and ensure all marks are entered before generating report cards.
