How to export DOE mark sheets to Excel

The DOE Mark Sheet function allows you to export mark sheets to Excel in a format that complies with the Department of Education's requirements. It accommodates the different requirements of various Districts and Provinces.

How do I export a DOE mark sheet to Excel?

  1. Choose the Export Format you want to export.

  2. Choose whether you want the Schedule content with or without marks.

  3. Choose the appropriate Year.

  4. Choose whether you want to include Additional Entry Information.

  5. Choose which Mark Columns should be exported: scale mark and/or percentage.

  6. Choose whether you want to print Calculated marks or Term marks under Mark Format.

  7. Choose which Results/Reasons should be exported.

  8. Choose whether the report should be printed by Grade or by Register Class.

  9. Select the grade or register class by moving the selection to the right.

  10. Click Generate Report.

  11. The report will now open in Excel.

What is the DOE Mark Sheet used for?

It is used to export learner mark sheets in the format of the Department of Education, so that they can be entered into the DOE's systems for provincial and district requirements.

Can I choose which mark columns are included?

Yes. In step 5, you can choose which columns should be exported, for example only scale marks, only percentages, or both.

Can I export the mark sheet by class or by grade?

Yes. In step 8, choose whether the report should be generated by Grade or by Register Class. Then select the specific grade or class.

What is the difference between a Summary and Detail export?

The Summary shows a high-level summary of marks. The Detail options show more detailed marks such as SBA, Exam and EOJ marks, and a further option also includes Term marks.

In what format is the mark sheet exported?

The mark sheet is exported as a Microsoft Excel file, which opens directly in Excel after the export process is complete.
