The Parent Management module allows school administrators to maintain a comprehensive database of families. Accurate parent data is the backbone of school communication, financial billing, and statutory LURITS compliance.

How do I load a new parent?
Click Load a Parent.
Select an existing family code or leave blank for a new family.
Enter the parent's information. Fields marked * are compulsory.
If the ID number is invalid, the system will warn you. Click No to fix it immediately (strongly recommended).
Click Add to save.
How do I edit parent information?
Search for the parent using the Search block or dropdown filters.
Select the parent by clicking the radio button, click Edit, modify the details, and click Save.
How do I delete a parent?
Every learner must have at least one parent linked at all times. Search for the parent, click Delete, select a reason, and confirm with Yes.
Frequently asked questions
Why won't the system let me delete a parent?
The system prevents deletion if there is an outstanding school fee balance linked to that parent. Transfer the Accountable Person status to another parent first.
What does an invalid ID number warning mean?
The ID number does not pass the South African validation check. If left uncorrected, LURITS will reject all learner records linked to that parent.
