Access Levels: Students, Parents & Viewers
The Student Portal provides different levels of access depending on who is logged in. This article explains what each user type can see and do, and how a parent can grant Viewer access to a trusted third party.

Access levels at a glance
Student (own school-registered email) — Marks, timetable, attendance, and discipline. View only.
Parent (own school-registered email) — All of the above, plus finance information and the ability to edit personal details.
Viewer (added by a parent) — Marks, attendance, and discipline only. View only. No access to finance or personal information.
How to add a Viewer
A parent can grant a trusted person — such as a grandparent or au pair — limited view access to the Student Portal.
Log in to the Student Portal via the d6 Communicator App.
Click Your Profile.
Scroll down to Add Viewer.
Enter the Viewer's email address or mobile number.
Confirm to send the invitation.
The Viewer will receive an invitation to create their own login and access the portal with limited permissions.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Viewer see financial information?
No. Viewers can only see marks, attendance, and discipline. Finance information is restricted to parents only.
How many Viewers can a parent add?
Parents can add multiple Viewers. Each Viewer receives their own login invitation and accesses the portal independently using their own email address or mobile number.
Can a Viewer edit any information?
No. Viewers have read-only access to a limited set of information. Only parents can edit personal details within the Student Portal.
