Communication categories are used to categorise information shared with clients and users. Categories used to sort resources will appear on the mobile app of designated users.

How to create a communication category
Click the Add button to create a new category.
Enter an Afrikaans and English name for the category.
Select whether this category should be used for resources. Categories used for resources will appear on the mobile app of designated users.
How to edit or delete a category
Select or double-click the category and click the Edit button.
To delete a category, select it and click Delete. Confirm by clicking OK.
If a category has linked resources, the system will display an error message indicating it cannot be deleted. Move the resources to another category first.
Frequently asked questions
Can I delete a category that contains resources?
No. A category that is currently in use and has linked resources cannot be deleted. You must first move the resources to another category before deleting it.
Must I provide both Afrikaans and English names?
Yes, both names must be completed so that the category displays correctly in both languages on the system and mobile app.
