How to export learner attendance (WCED/CEMIS)
The Learner Attendance Export function is used by schools that report to the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). Learner absences can be exported here in the correct format and submitted to CEMIS.
Reports > Learners > Management > Attendance
How do I export learner attendance?
Select the period: per week, month, term or year.
Select the relevant year, month and/or week.
What export options are available?
Learner Attendance Export: Exports all learner attendance data for the selected period. Right-click on the report and select Save as to save in CSV format. Import the CSV file into the CEMIS programme.
Confirmed Register Class Export: Exports only confirmed learner attendance for the selected period. Follow the same steps to save as CSV and import into CEMIS.

What is the difference between Learner Attendance Export and Confirmed Register Class Export?
The Learner Attendance Export includes all captured attendance data. The Confirmed Register Class Export includes only records that have been explicitly confirmed by the teacher, which ensures more accurate CEMIS reporting.
