This function enables you to create violations and recognitions and link them to the specific levels created in the Categories section. Make sure that the Categories section is set up before proceeding.
My School > Code of Conduct > Conduct
This screen displays all disciplinary conduct reasons. You can filter by All categories, Recognitions only, or Violations only.
You can also filter by conduct type: All items, Academic, General, or other categories.
A usage count shows how many times each conduct reason has been applied.
Click the Create an item button.
Select the category from the drop-down menu (e.g., Academic — Recognition).
Enter the description in both Afrikaans and English.
Enter the Point value. A violation must be a negative number (e.g., -5) and a recognition must be a positive number (e.g., 5).
Click Save to add the conduct reason.
Click the radio button next to the conduct reason and click Edit.
Make the required changes and click Save.
Click the radio button next to the conduct reason and click Delete.
A confirmation message will appear. If you are sure, click Yes to proceed.
Important: Once a conduct reason is deleted it cannot be undone or restored.
Conduct reasons must be linked to a category level. If no categories exist, the system has nothing to link the conduct item to. Set up My School > Code of Conduct > Categories first.
Violations must use negative numbers (e.g., -5) and recognitions must use positive numbers (e.g., 5). The sign determines whether the system deducts or awards points to the learner.
The system will display how many times the conduct reason has been used in the confirmation message. Deletion is permanent and irreversible, so exercise caution with reasons that have been applied to learner records.
