How to generate the Dos and Don'ts Report

The Dos and Don'ts Report generates a list of learner absences, late arrivals, early departures and periods not attended, for a selected period and group. Please note: This report may take a while to complete — be patient and do not refresh the page.

How do I generate the Dos and Don'ts Report?

  1. Dos and Don'ts for: Select the period — Year, Term or Period.

  2. Year: Select the relevant year.

  3. Report type: Select between per learner, Dos and Don'ts type, summary or detailed.

  4. Report for: Select All Learners, Select Learners, Select Register Class, Select Subject or Select Grade.

  5. Dos and Don'ts Type: Filter by type — All, Absent, Late arrival, Early departure or Period not attended.

  6. Page Orientation: Select Portrait or Landscape.

  7. Click Generate for a PDF report, or Export to Excel to export the data. Excel export requires the relevant user rights.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the report take a long time to generate?

The Dos and Don'ts Report processes large amounts of data, especially when all learners are selected over a long period. Be patient — do not refresh the page, otherwise the process will restart from the beginning.

Can I export to Excel?

Yes, if your user profile has the Excel export right. If the button is not available, ask your Superuser to activate this right on your profile.

What is the difference between Summary and Detailed?

Summary shows a total of dos and don'ts per learner. Detailed shows each individual incident with dates and types, which is more suitable for disciplinary or reporting purposes.
