How to manage Term Results
The Term Results module is an automatic diagnostic tool that calculates, monitors and moderates learner results for a specific term. The system evaluates marks against linked Result guidelines (e.g. 2012 DOE-NPPPPR) and provides a real-time status of Achieved (A) or Not Achieved (NA).
My School > System > Curriculum > Pass Requirements > Term Results
How do I view learner results?
Select the Year, Grade, Curriculum and Term.
The list shows Calculated Results (system-generated) and Moderated Results (manual overrides).
Hover over the (i) next to a learner's name for a subject overview, or over the Calculated Result to see which criteria were not achieved.
How do I moderate a decision?
Double-click the learner's row or select the learner and click Moderate the selected learner.
Select a Concession type from the drop-down if applicable.
Select the new status (Achieved or Not Achieved) and select a compulsory Reason.
Click Save. Moderated results appear in red.
How do I use bulk actions?
Recalculate: Refreshes all data after major changes to marks or weights.
Promote all: Changes all Not Achieved results to Achieved for the entire grade.
Use calculated results for all: Removes all manual moderations and reverts to system defaults.
Frequently asked questions
Why can the system not deliver a verdict for a learner?
Marks for compulsory subjects are likely missing. The system cannot deliver a valid verdict on an incomplete data set. A task will appear on the Home page.
Why is a grade not in the drop-down list?
The grade is likely set to No Calculation in the Result guidelines module. Grades without automatic logic must be manually promoted at My School > People > Learners > Year-end > Promotions — this only applies in Term 4 when the admin year-end process begins.
