Attendance Confirmation

Attendance Confirmation

My School  >  Learners  >  Attendance:  Attendance Confirmation

Purpose: To confirm that all learner attendance data (including absentees) has been captured correctly. This step is mandatory to comply with weekly reporting and successful data exports.

Why this matters

  • For the Admin: It ensures your records are tidy and ready for submission without last-minute panic.

  • For the Curriculum Head: It guarantees the integrity of learner data, which is vital for academic reporting.

  • For the School: It ensures the school remains compliant with department requirements.

Steps to Confirm Attendance

  1. Filter your View: * Select the relevant Year.

    • Choose specific Grades (or select all).

    • Filter by Status (Confirmed, Not Confirmed, or All).

    • Select the specific Date you wish to verify.

  2. Confirm Records:

    • Individual Check: Look for the specific register class, tick the box in the Confirmed column, and click Save Changes.

    • Bulk Action: Click Confirm All to verify all attendance records for that day in one go.

d6 Tip: If you need to fix a mistake (like adding or removing an absentee) after you have already confirmed the day, simply return to this screen, untick the "Confirmed" box for that class, and click Save Changes. You can then go to the learner's profile to update their attendance.

Tips for Success

  • Be Proactive: Try to confirm attendance daily or weekly to avoid a mountain of work before export deadlines.

  • Check the "Not Confirmed" Filter: This is the quickest way to see which classes still have outstanding registers.
